The magical Gold Coast Hinterland Wedding of Yasmin & Rhys at the newly renovated - Coolibah Downs Private Estate

How did you two meet?

We met through a mutual friend in 2011(one of Rhys's overseas, distant relatives that he only met for the first time a couple of weeks prior).

I was backpacking Australia with that mutual friend. During my road trip from Cairns to Sydney, we stayed with Rhys and his family at the Gold Coast for a week.

How did you pop the question?!

Rhys and I were together for over 9 years before he decided to finally pop the question.

We were travelling to Cape York in 2021 and had a couple of activities planned along the way.

When we were in Cairns, we booked a day tour snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef. Rhys also booked a Helicopter flight above the outer Reef for us. During the helicopter flight, he asked me to marry him.

What is the part of your wedding you are the most excited for?

Yasmin: After being in a relationship for over 11 years, I am looking forward to sharing the same last name and taking professional photos of Rhys and I (we don't have a lot of photos of us). My family will arrive from overseas to share this special day with us. Having my sister and my niece there is something that I am very excited about.

Rhys: Sharing this day with friends and family is one of the things I am looking forward to.
