“We first met on Sunday 22nd Aug. Our wedding day will be 3 years exactly from this date. A little fact we have kept a secret from our guests, which we are hoping to share on the day ☺️

We met on Bumble I think…it was online dating anyways. I was meant to work the afternoon shift and called in sick so I could go on a date with Em.

I was running late, as usual 🙄

We met at Main Beach on the Gold Coast and spent our first date on a beach walk, and sitting watching the ocean, chatting and getting to know one another.

Funnily enough, although I had a nice time, I actually walked away from our first date thinking it had been a major dud! I walked back to my car through the park with my head down thinking I probably wouldn’t hear from Em again or that she wasn’t interested and I’d blown it.

During our date I was a bit dorky, talking to her about the ocean and blabbering on nervously about “fun facts” about sharks I’d learnt from a book I was reading at the time written by a shark conservationist. By the time I’d walked back through the park to my car, and checked my phone, I already had a msg from Em telling me she’d had a nice time she wanted to see me again.”
