JOANNE & ANDREW - BYRON BAY NSW COASTAL ELOPEMENT
The forecast in Byron Bay was nothing short of perfection. For these two Newcastle lovebirds, coming up to the most beautiful part of the Northern River was always on the cards. With beaches and hinterland views all that was needed was a private beach elopement/wedding.
Joanne & Andrew’s beautiful Elopement in Byron Bay, NSW was one for the ages.
Congratulations Lovers.

Before you take a peek at their day, here’s what they had to say -
I know eloping isn’t everyone’s idea of a dream wedding, but there’s something truly special about being one of only 5 people witnessing a couple get married. I recently asked Jo & Andrew to share more about their Byron Bay elopement, and here’s what they had to say -
Why did you choose to elope?
“We’ve both been married before, and when we were planning to get married, we thought - “why are we doing this”? In the end, this was just for us. When you walk through the world differently to other people, why just do what everyone else does? So we decided to elope. At first we thought of flying overseas, but in the end, we loved the idea of being able to drive to Byron and do it all on our own schedule.”
What were you looking for from an elopement photographer?
“At first, I just really liked Sean’s photos. We spoke on the phone and really got along. I then discovered that he was also really good friends with our celebrant, so that was another bonus. They vibe off each other really well. Nothing in this world happens by accident.”
What was your experience of Sean on the day?
“He was really easy going. We were just this fun flash crowd of happy people, all on the same vibe. Like the power rangers, all with their own part to play. Nothing too serious, everything was easy. We felt like we’d known him for ages, even though it was the first time we’d met in person. Even when I realised the room I was getting ready in was a bit small and not ideal for photos, he just worked with it. Without any stress or worry, he made it work. It all felt so easy.”
What was your initial impression of your photos when you received the gallery? Any favourite photos?
“Wow! They’re so awesome. Our favourites are the one where we’re cuddling while getting ready, and the one with the veil and the Byron Bay sign. There’s another where my smile (Andrew) is almost touching my ears. It was such a happy time.”
How would you sum up your experience working with Sean?
“Sean is an amazing being. He’s an artist, he makes you feel so comfortable, and you know it’s his love, because you can see it's his love. He can work with anything. And at the end of day, being a people person is really important and that’s who he is. He can adapt to all walks of life (I mean, we were out there!). He just slotted himself in and it was amazing. To have a connection with someone where it's the first face to face meeting and you can easily say “you fit with us” - that’s amazing. If you have a natural joy for life, you need a wedding photographer who also has that joy for life. And Sean has that. He brings that to your day and his energy is so in the moment. He’s a superstar.”
